When Rebecca started school I looked for a book for her classmates, something that
would introduce 'ability/disability' to them. I found nothing that covered Rebecca's level
After several weeks I decided to write one myself.
It is written with five-year-olds in mind, and strives to introduce some basic

|Rebecca has friends, and it is OK to be friends with her|
|Rebecca had wide interests, likes and dislikes|
|Rebecca had a family and an extended family|
|Rebecca is learning the same school subjects|
|Rebecca has several methods of communication, and there will be others in the future|
|There are some differences, for example her food, cloth to keep her clothes clean,
flotation jacket for swimming|
